Registered Non-Profit Company No. 2026/350795/08 — growing hope across the Sundays River Valley since 2026.
Restoring Dignity · Building Futures · Serving Communities
Lonwabo Community Foundation NPC is a registered Non-Profit Company established in 2026 to uplift disadvantaged communities across the Sundays River Valley. We believe lasting change happens when communities grow together — "Sikhule Sonke". Through education support, youth development and social support programmes, we are building a future where every child in Kirkwood, Addo, Paterson and beyond has the opportunity to learn, play and lead a healthy, hopeful life.
Lonwabo Community Foundation NPC was founded in 2026 by Lonwabo Elvis Five, who serves as Chairperson & Director. Born from a deep love for the people of Kirkwood, Addo and Paterson, the Foundation was established on a simple belief: that no community should be left behind, and that real change happens when we grow together — Sikhule Sonke.
What began as a personal commitment to helping local learners and young people has grown into a structured, accountable organisation delivering education support, youth development and social support programmes across the Sundays River Valley.
Our mission is to walk alongside the communities of Kirkwood, Addo, Paterson and the greater Sundays River Valley — providing education support, youth development and social upliftment so that every child and young person has the chance to grow, thrive and give back.
A Sundays River Valley where every child and young person has access to education, opportunity and support to reach their full potential — regardless of circumstance. Within the next five to ten years, we envision:
Compassion, integrity, transparency and community — we grow together, we account for every rand, and we put children and youth first.
Helping disadvantaged learners stay in school through practical support like school shoes, uniforms and stationery — because dignity matters as much as access.
Using sport, tournaments and mentorship to give young people a healthy, structured alternative to drugs, alcohol and idle time.
Creating safe spaces for open dialogue on GBV, teenage pregnancy and substance abuse, and connecting families to support.
Our programmes currently reach learners, youth and families across four communities, with plans to expand as our resources and partnerships grow.
